This Appalachian Life is an (unaffiliated) spin-off of the wildly popular radio show/podcast, This American Life. On our show we dedicate our 30 minute program to one story or idea related to the Appalachian region. You can find all episodes here on our website or on Spotify!
Each episode is reported, produced, written and crafted by Trenton Rose and Sully Styles, two childhood best friends born and raised in Appalachia. Their aim is to get to know the region the best they can before they leave it, and let others in on just how nuanced, complex and beautiful the region really is.
About the Creators
Hey everyone, I’m Sully co-founder and co-host of This Appalachian Life. I’m a Documentary Studies major and Communications at Appalachian State University with an interest in pursuing Narrative Journalism and Audio Documentary. If I’m not working on this show I’m probably running, playing some music, or working on this show.
Hello! My name is Trenton co-founder and co-host of This Appalachian Life. I’m a Electronic Media Broadcasting major with a focus in production and a theatre arts minor. I have an interest in pursuing sound design. Outside of working on the show I enjoy comedy and theatre!
